It was a blast and one of my favorite memories with her. When I attended tech school for 2 years after high school I stayed at home and on some mornings we could watch Letterman, who was in morning then. He was just getting started and did not have a political agenda, he was funny and the show was good. I went away to college and stopped watching until he reappeared on nighttime.
